Physiotherapist:

Liz Irwin graduated from the University of Ulster in 1978 & has worked as a private practioner in Bangor for the last 25 years. After graduating she worked in the Royal Victoria Hospital for 8 years both as a junior and senior physiotherapist, in fractures and othorpaedics and later sharing a clinical and teaching role for the University. An interest in outpatients led to the opportunity to work for some years for the Mens Irish Indoor Hockey Team both at home and on tour.

Liz has also been involved in physio for the Bangor Football Club and is still involved in Bangor Swimming Club with a particular interest in musculosketal conditions of children and adolecence involved in sport.

 

 

Liz is also interested in people in the 'work place' and is involved closely with industry and officed based clients increasingly over the last 15 years resolving current and potential ergonomic problems.

It is through OCPPP (Orgranisation of Chartered Physiotherapists in Private Practice) AACP (Accupunture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists, BASEM ( British Association of Sport and Excercise Medicine)and ACPHOE (Association Of Chartered Physiotherapists in Occupational Health and Ergonomics) that continuous professional development is maintained.


Practice Manager:

Gail Wilson is the part time practice manager and the friendly face behind the phone. Gail is there to manage appointments and any queries you may have. For those who are insured she is familiar with most of the insurance companies and the manner in which they work, to enable processing bills to be as stress free as possible.
